Oh my aching back! We have some great products to help ease your back pain!
In my experience the only thing worse than back pain is a tooth ache. Back pain is not only uncomfortable but it can limit your mobility and interrupt your sleep.
It’s not uncommon to feel pain and stiffness in your back as we age. This can be caused by lack of exercise, poor posture, being overweight, to name a few, or degeneration of the joints in the spine. The pain can be more of a discomfort or acute which usually follows some kind of injury.
To keep your back from hurting, to ease strain on your back as you age, maintaining a healthy weight by eating good foods with nutrients for joint and bone health is important. If you have problems with certain foods that contain those nutrients you should take vitamins such as Calcium with Magnesium, Vitamin D and Vitamin C (which helps protect connective tissues).
It is also important to have good posture when you stand or sit.
You should also exercise to keep your back and abdomen strong and flexible. Stretching and/or walking can be the start of an exercise program if you are new to exercising. Personally I do Tai Chi every morning. Yoga is also very good.
Here are a few products I have found to help you with your back pain.
Physical Therapist’s Seated Back Stretcher
This stretching aid safely loosens the back, shoulders, and core while sitting.
Simply rest the padded base across the lap and reach the arms overhead to grip the top handlebars.
Like a physical therapist monitoring an exercise routine, the adjustable stretcher ensures proper spinal alignment while following the 15 seated exercises illustrated in the included booklet.
The stretcher swivels and rotates to facilitate safe bending, twisting, and leaning and helps ease low-back pain caused by tight hamstrings and loosen tight shoulders caused by desk work.

Seated Back Strengthener
This is the fitness chair that lets you remain seated while stretching and strengthening back muscles in all directions.
Helping to improve flexibility and posture and ward off future back injuries, it consists of a swiveling seat, twisting handlebars, and a pliable back support.
Simply gripping the handles and rotating the upper body or leaning back according to the exercises illustrated on the accompanying DVD tones muscles around the spine, while those of the abdomen, lower back, and thighs have to flex to maintain position on the rocking seat.
The strengthener also incorporates foam rollers that massage the back as you move, ensuring there is sufficient blood flow to the area so muscles stay loose.
Supports users up to 300 lbs.

Hip and Lower Back Massage Seat
This is the massage cushion that gently sways your lower body from side to side to help increase circulation in the hips and lower back.
The device gently shifts your hips and lumbar in a figure-8 trajectory to help boost circulation and ease stress.
The cushion’s padded foam construction provides comfort and its slip-resistant surface keeps the cushion in-place while sitting, working, or relaxing. Its integrated controls provide three massage speed settings.
This is currently on sale so won’t last long

Hip Deep Tissue Massager
This is the massager with a unique shape and powerful percussive nodes that work deep into hip and lumbar tissue to loosen stiff muscles.
As users rest against the enveloping U-shaped cushion in a chair, massage heads on each side provide Swedish-style rhythmic tapotement that stimulates blood flow to revitalize tired and sore muscles.
Targeting the lower back, hip, and sides—areas that other massagers cannot easily reach—this massager can also be used to reinvigorate muscles on the thighs, calves, and feet.
A simple four-button control panel lets users customize their massage by selecting from an automatic program or 99 manual settings, each with 20 levels of intensity. Shuts off automatically after each 15-minute session.

Shiatsu And Vibration Massage Mat
This is the full-body cushioned mat that simultaneously delivers a Shiatsu massage to the back and an invigorating vibration massage to the upper legs.
The mat’s pair of fingertip-like nodes can rotate to vigorously knead out muscle stiffness in targeted areas of the back, or roll gently up and down its entire length for a relaxing massage to the back, neck, and shoulders.
Users can enhance a Shiatsu treatment session by adding warmth to help increase blood flow, soothe aches, and speed healing. The leg massager vibrates at up to 3800 rpm to treat tight hamstrings and glutes.
A tethered controller allows users to select massage type, intensity, and target area, with or without heat. Shuts off automatically after 20 minutes to prevent over-treatment.

Note – You should always check with your doctor if you are experiencing back pain to ensure it isn’t something more serious than just aging.
